Connor's John Deere Birthday

So much fun!  We went swimming in Holly and had Matthew over to spend the night.  We had all of our family over for presents, a JD tractor pinata, cake and ice cream.  Happy 4th Birthday Connor Alex!

Caylee's Blessing

We had Caylee blessed at church the same weekend of my dad's 60th surprise birthday party.  So, all of my family was in town.  Caylee wore her grandma Jan's blessing dress that she was blessed in when she was a baby.  It was so special for her to be able to wear it!

Easter

We had a good Easter.  We colored farm fresh eggs and then we had the McCormick kids over for an egg hunt.  The weather wasn't great, so we had to have it inside.  It was a lot of fun!  Then my kids woke up to their Easter baskets, we got extra dressed up and headed off to church in Garden City.  We stopped for a delicious lunch at Kary's family and then headed home to see Oggie's family.

The Last Snow of the Season

Caylee and I stayed in where it was warm, but the boys all went out to play in the white stuff

Time To Catch Up

The end of the school year was so hectic that I didn't do much on here.  So here goes!  There are a few months covered, so you should be able to see the kids change right before your eyes.

Aaaahhhh, summertime!

Finally, it's summer!!!  I am looking forward to spending time with my family.  I do have to take three classes this summer; but, they are all online.  Two of them are for my masters and one is for a music endorsement.  After summer classes, I only have one more class in the fall to complete my masters--yay!!  As far as the music endorsement, I'm just getting started.  We got to kick off summer with a weekend trip to Woodland Park.  It was really nice to get away to the mountains for a couple of days.  We left Friday night and did some redneck camping in the Pueblo WalMart parking lot that night, then headed on to WP the next morning.  My brother's family and my parents all camped, and Konnie got to come over on Sunday and stay the night.  It was a lot of fun.  Plus, Oggie had a hilarious incident happen--teeheehee.  I'll let him share with those of you who don't already know it.  Anyway, with my newfound freedom, I'll update more often.

Cute Kiddos

Kids can be so cute.  Connor has been getting some words mixed up like instead of Patrick he says Packrit and instead of forgot he says gotfor.  I love to listen to him talk.  Yesterday he fell and when I asked him if he was okay he said, "I'm okay.  I'm a tough cowboy".  He also loves his brothers and sister.  He is still mischievous, but he is definitely mellowing out and his softer side shows through.  That side reminds me of Christopher.  Christopher has a huge heart and is just an all around good big brother.  It's obvious when you see how much Connor and Cade look up to and adore him.  One weekend morning Connor woke up and rolled over to Christopher and said "I love you so much Chris", then Cade rolled over and gave WaaWaa (his name for Christopher) a big kiss on the head.  One day Christopher was playing with Connor and had him laughing so hard.  In the middle of this laughing Connor managed to say, "I love you so much Chris".  While Connor is mellowing, Cade is taking up the slack and then some.  I guess our first clue to this was his broken arm back in November, and he still climbs everything!!  He talks, but in his own language.  He has his few words that he knows and the rest is his language.  His name for Connor is hilarious--CaaCaa.  He is such a stout little guy, that I sometimes forget how young he really is.  Even though he's young, he can definitely hold his own!  All three boys are pretty fond of little sis Caylee.  Nobody better mess with her!  I love my family!!!

Montrose Trip

The boys, Caylee, and I went to Krystal's over the weekend.  It was a lot of fun!  The drive is one of my favorite parts, though I was a little nervous about it with so many kids (It's about 7 1/2-8 hrs.).  It's been about 3 years since I had made that trip, and I only had Christopher and Connor at that time.  The kids did great, and we still made really good time.  The drive is so beautiful--I love the mountains!!  Krystal didn't tell her kids that we were coming, so it was a total suprise to Jonah and Mariah when they found two extra kids--Christopher and Connor--in their van when Krystal picked them up from school.  They all had a great time playing together!  Kandace's family came over on Saturday and we all went swimming at the aquatic center.  All together we had 9 kids in the house on Saturday--we wish Kary, Sharee, and Colton could have been there too!!  I had such a good time seeing two of my sisters that I don't get to see very often, wish Konnie could have been there.  Krystal's house looks so cute--right out of a magazine.  Thanks to the Hokits for inviting us over, we had a blast!!  Here are a few pictures.
