Are You Ready For Some Football

Christopher is doing an awesome job with football this year. They have had three games so far. As I mentioned before, they have a scrimmage after each game so that the younger kids have a chance to play more. They don't keep score for this part, but Christopher has managed to run in a touchdown or two at each of the first two scrimmages. This last week, they had the scrimmage before the game and Christopher seemed a little off. We found out why later. He was sick, like threw up in the middle of it all. But, he kept going. When the score keeping part of the game came around, we were kicking some butt. The last part of the game, Christopher got some playing time. He caught a pass and ran it in for a touchdown, scoring his first points for his team. It was so exciting. I'm so proud of him!

Kittens

We have six kittens at our house. We needed some mousers. The three little kids LOVE these kittens. Why they don't run away when they see Cade and Caylee coming is beyond me. :o)

Holly Fair

Another year, another Holly Fair. Christopher and I had to march with the band in the parade. Christopher did really good on the drums. He marched with the quads, which are pretty heavy. I didn't actually have to try to blend in with the band this year; they did a really good job without me. Some years there is a carnival, some years there is not. This year there was a carnival and it was actually pretty good. Christopher didn't want to go on any of the rides, but he pleased his little brothers by going on a mini roller coaster since Cade wasn't tall enough to go without someone older. There was this really tall slide with King Kong and a Godzilla. Cade was hilarious on this slide! He wanted to go, but the first time he was a little hesitant walking up to it. I can't say that I blame him; it was really tall! I was nervous to let him go! His face was so funny on the way down the first time. He had that look of terror; yet once he got down, he couldn't wait to go again. Caylee had fun in the bouncy house, which she had all to herself while Cade and Connor were on the slide. There was also a little kid ride that just went around, and up and down. I think they had a pretty good time.
