The Prowers Journal

This is a free insight into the areas happenings--www.theprowersjournal.com. Dad is in a few pictures of the Transportation Museum and Bluegrass Festival, and Grandpa Vernon can be seen in his lawn chair at the Bluegrass Festival. They update daily, and they do a pretty good job.

trouble with backgrounds

Sorry for the ugliness lately, my backgrounds won't stay put. Has anybody else experienced this problem? I loved the bee background and it only lasted for a week or so. Then I put up the frog one, and same thing. Grrrr!

Catching Up

Where's Cade??

Christopher's JH Awards.
He did very well! He was even one of a handful selected as a nominee for the Wildcat Award, which is a pretty big honor. He also got a History Award, Band Awards, Football Awards, a Basketball Award, and MVP in Track. Needless to say, we're pretty stinkin' proud of him!

Connor's Preschool Program

We had lots of compliments on Connor's singing (he could be heard above the entire class) :o)

15 years ago. . .

. . . I was 18, driving an old white ford tempo, fresh out of high school, ready for Adams State College, madly in love and ready to walk down the aisle. Oggie and I celebrated our 15th anniversary yesterday. It sure doesn't seem like it has been that long! I realized that I have spent nearly half of my life with this wonderful man! We both realize how much we have grown over 15 years, and we're sure glad for all of the blessings in our life together--especially those four wonderful kids we have! Happy anniversary Oggie, I love you!!

Connor's Birthday

I can't believe that Connor is SIX years old!! He's at that point where he has crossed over from a "little boy" to a "boy". He has hit a growth spurt and he even looks older recently. He has definitely lost that little boy character. Because his birthday is June 8th, and the school cutoff date is June 1st, he will just be starting Kindergarten at the end of August. What a big kid! He wanted a LEGO Star Wars birthday this year, so that's what he got! I made a Lego Star Wars cake. I spent so much time making fondant and shaping the characters that I didn't put the work into the actual cake part like I should have. The LEGO block is well, curved! I didn't take the time to shave it down and make it rectangular--oh well! He loved it anyway! Kary, Sharee, and the kids were able to come and help us celebrate. We were really happy to see them! Kary did an awesome job of walking up our front steps. It has been a long, long time since he has been able to come to our house. It was really good to have all of them here! The boys had a blast playing with Colton, and Caylee loved having Chelsey here. Thanks to everyone for a fun birthday!

Biting the heads off!

Seven Little Kittens

We have two first-time mama kitties who had their litters at the same time. All together we have seven kittens, and they are so cute! The three little kids LOVE them! Poor kitties!
