And now, here are the late pictures of Cade's birthday. We had a fun night with family. We started off with a seafood boil--yum! Then we had cake and presents. His cake was a lot of fun to make also. It was a fondant cake and everything on it was edible. I had a lot of fun making the animals out of fondant. The little ladybugs and bees turned out really cute, and Cade couldn't wait to pop one into his mouth. Unfortunately, as you can see, one of the sheep was a little too heavy for the side and ended up tearing the side of the cake. I also had to rush on the border. I wanted to pipe some grass for the border, but I ran out of time and frosting, so I attempted to make a super fast "grass-like" border out of leftover fondant--I'm not impressed with it. Oh well, it was still a really cute and delicious cake! Plus, we had a lot left over to eat for the 4th.
